SeaWorld

SeaWorld San Diego, located in Southern California is one of the three SeaWorld theme parks in US. There is a fee ($14) to park your car.

Upon our arrival at the park, we decided to go on Journey to Atlantis ride. Only to our disappointment, we were told it was temporarily closed due to techinical difficulties. With that being the case, we decided to ride on Shipwreck Rapids.

At Shipwreck Rapids, we were being seated on "tube-style raft" as they described it on their site. It seats 8 people on the tube. We were a party of 5 people, so they had us seated with another party of 3. The ride itself is fun. Not too rough. It will get you soaking wet for sure! Water is very cold even on a hot day. If you happen to escape from getting wet somehow, think again. Other guests watching you on top can spray you with water canon for only 25 cents a pop. Some guest sprayed us on our raft and I too did the same to other riders. FUN!! Once the ride has come to an end, there is an area where you can dry off for a fee. There are two machines, and for 5 dollars, four people can step into one of the machines and it will blow hot air. If you wear jeans, it will not dry!

From there we went to see One Ocean show. Of all the shows I saw at the park, this is the only one I enjoyed watching. Blue Horizons show is okay. Lots of dolphins but more of people dancing. Sea Lions Live is hilarious. Cirque de la Mer is very disappointing. My niece and I feel a sleep during the show! Skytower is very relaxing. It's a free ride that takes you some over two hundred feet above ground. I thought back in 1993, you had to pay for it to go up.

For lunch, we ate at Shipwreck Reef Café. I had Chicken Caesar salad ($9.89). I also tried burger from my dad. I was very disappointed with the burger. Very dry and no flavor at all.

Overall, the experience could have been better if there were shades above the seats. I know it may not be possible, but that would help from getting sun burns!

Epson Perfection V300 Photo Scanner

This will scan your old photo negatives and slides into your computer. Your photos can be saved as JPG or PDF. You can also scan your important documents and save them as either PDF or JPG. It will even let you scan multiple pages and save everthing in one PDF file. Easy to setup.

I have used this scanner a few times already and I am glad I invested in one. As of Feb. 2009, it cost $99.99 + tax; and I bought it from BestBuy.

Just recently, I found out from my cousin that you can get it cheaper on Buy.com. I looked and yes, as of Sat. Feb. 21, 2009, they are priced at $93.24. Free shipping and no sales tax if I were to buy it from where I live.

Make sure it is a PHOTO scanner.

This is just FYI only. :o))

Just me or is it common for all singles out there?

Well, I am 26 yrs old single guy, and I love restaurant food. However I find myself going to buffet places 98% of the time when I dine out. My reason, I hate to just sit and wait until my food comes out. At a buffet restaurant, I don't have to wait for my food. I just get up and get some food when needed.

Secondly, I don't get good service when I dine by myself no matter where I go other than fast food place. 1] No refills on drinks (my experience: AppleBees in Richmond, VA; Golden Corral in Albuquerque, NM on Central Ave.). 2] Used dishes were not cleared off of the table (my experience: Golden Corral in Albuquerque, NM on Central Ave.; HomeTown Buffet in Albuquerque, NM on Eubank Ave.). 3] Loosing table/booth at a buffet restaurant even though a slip/receipt is left facing up while getting some more food (my experience: Golden Corral in Albuquerque, NM on Central Ave.)

Thirdly, if by chance the server remembers that I exist, and ask me how everything is going, he/she usually ask right at the moment when I am stuffing my mouth with food, or I have a mouthful and couldn't talk.

Very close and yet so far away.

Have you ever been in a situation where the person you really like is a close friend of yours, and yet you can't reveal your feelings because you know you can never have that person.

Blues!

Today I've got the blues. I was filling out some questions online and it asked me for my age. Natually I filled in 25 and just before I hit submit button, I paused a bit and went back to my age box. I looked at it for a while and said "holly cow! I'm no longer 25. I am a year behind" I guess once you past 25, you still want to hold on to it. I guess in my opinion it is more true for people who are still single and looking. It just seems like life just past by quick and you haven't achieve all your goals yet.

With blues!

Angus Burger: Burger King vs. McDonalds

Burger King

Which one do I like the most?

Well, I perfer Burger King's angus burger. They have more sauce and live up to my expectations.
McDonalds' angus on the other hand, it taste like an ordinary burger except the pettie is slightly bigger.

My ideal President

My ideal president for 2008

1) Someone who would end the war and bring back troops home. Home is where they belong. With their family and friends.

2) Someone who would deport illegal people who have entered the country illegally. Lets face it, they broke the law and should be sent back. Name a country in the world who would warmly welcome people who have entered the country illegally.

3) Someone who would secure our boarders. I am in favor of putting up the wall along our boarders.

4) Someone who would charge usage fees to air charters and corporates jets who uses the sky. Exampt private pilots and students pilots from charging usage fees.

5) Someone who would spend taxpayers' money to improve our country than giving it way to others.

6) Someone who would declare English as an official language.

German TV show

Back in the late 80s and early 90s, I remember watching a German TV show for kids called "Peter and his toy box". It's like Mr. Roger's neighborhood. This man named Peter shows you in one of the episodes where rubber comes from and how they were processed. It's a really neat show and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can get them?

Customer service and tech support.

My readers,

See if you agree with me on this. Right next to customer service telephone numbers and or tech support telephone numbers, I feel that all companies should indicate where their call centers are being located. As consumers, I believe we have the right to know who we'll be talking to at the other end of the phone line.

Hmm....I think this is a pretty good idea don't you think?
